TOP 10 CARS FOR MPG (2019)

TOP 10 CARS FOR MPG (2019)

Before we even start with the TOP 10 cars for MPG we have to do some educational things like: Is mpg in UK or US gallons?

Answer is: imperial (UK) gallons are not the same as US gallons – a UK gallon equals 4.55 litres while a US gallon equals 3.79 litres. As a result, mpg figures for North American cars sometimes appear lower than those sold in the UK and Europe.

4.55 litres = 1 imperial gallon (UK) = 1.2 U.S. gallons

Remember, the lower the litres per 100 kilometres (L/100 km) rating, the better the fuel consumption. And the higher the miles per gallon (mpg) rating, the better the fuel use.

Please take a look at conversion table below. It was super useful for me in UK as I was totally “GREEN” in terms of Understanding the imperial units. Hopefully You will find it useful as well.
